My Painting is a colorful ode to Life
Catherine Maddens, abstract painter, translates vital energy into a symphony of vibrant colors.
Her passion for Painting transcends the borders of the invisible, and transforms each canvas into a unique cathartic experience.
Originally from Normandy, Catherine Maddens was immersed in the artistic universe from an early age thanks to a father, an amateur painter and sculptor. In an environment imbued with the colors of the Impressionist masters, she quickly developed a deep love for art, a feeling reinforced by the support of her art teacher in college.
Although life led her to study clinical psychology and work as a graphic designer, she never gave up her passion for painting. She continued to paint when she could and nurture her dream of being an artist in her own right. It was this determination that finally led him to realize his long-held dream: to become a professional painter.
Inspired by the humanities, she explores the nuances of human consciousness and spiritual energy. She is also interested in certain concepts of quantum physics and healing processes. These themes materialize in his abstract painting to enter into deep emotional and existential resonance with observer.
Employing a diverse range of techniques and materials, Catherine Maddens creates unique abstract paintings. Whether it's acrylic, gouache, oil sticks, pastels, oil paint, aerosols or even diverted everyday tools, everything is used with the aim of creating and experimenting.
In the world of contemporary abstract art, she stands out for her personal, sensitive and subtle approach to abstract painting. She explores creative processes and uses her painting as a way to celebrate Life and the grandeur of the Universe.
Based in Paris, she has been leading a professional artistic career since 2013.
